Profile
My creative multidisciplinary practice spans photography, printmaking, sound, moving image, and a range of other mediums, driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to explore new forms of expression.
I began my journey in the 1990s photographing live bands for record labels and music publications, later working in editorial fashion photography. I then spent many years working in education and have since returned to my artistic practice, drawn back by a sustained need to develop my own work and creative exploration.

'Shot in the Dark' February 2026

Created for ZlideZpeekSho, curated by Sally Child, Shot in the Dark is an open-ended photographic series shaped by instinctive nocturnal wandering. It weaves together unseen late-1990s black-and-white images of club-goers in Hammersmith with recent long-exposure photographs made during meditative evening walks, where the intention was to slow down and to pay attention. The work explores how night heightens sensitivity to light, form, and atmosphere. Hovering between observation and subtle self-portraiture, the images evoke moments of pause, transition, and inward reflection.

Connections and Collaborations
April 2026
ZlideSpeekSho II
These images are from a wider series that examines ecological interdependency through trees, lichen, fungal networks, fruiting bodies, and bodily encounters with water and clinical space. It considers parasitic and saprophytic systems as essential processes within cycles of growth, decay, and regeneration. Health and dissolution are positioned as interconnected states within a continuous natural system.

Beneath my feet, out of human sight, lies the largest living organism. Sightless and slow, it weaves its way through the darkness

Place your bare foot in crystal clear water. Feel it rest on smooth grey pebbles. Listen as the current passes over it.

White lichen drift across the bark, a gentle companion to the living tree.

Observe the marigold and maroon coloured crust of natures ultimate collaborators. Let your breath match their growth.

Stay silent for a few moments.

Here the face of an angel is crowned in gold - a quiet coronet of time.

The dawn is full of possibilities.I wait, sensing what cannot yet be seen.
